Nicolas Veron is a senior fellow and co-founder of Bruegel, having been ranked first worldwide among all think tanks in international economic policy. He is also a visiting fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics. Bloomberg Markets included VEronin its 2012 annual ranking of the 50 most influential people in the world of finance. VEron's policy papers include banking supervision and crisis management, financial reporting and policy framework. He has testified repeatedly in front of committees of the European Parliament and US Congress. His prior experience includes working for Saint-Gobain and Rothschildsand as Government advisor to the France Labor Minister. He is a board member of the derivatives arm of the Depositary Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC). He has a quantitative background as a graduate from EcolePolytechnique (1992) and EcoleNationaleSupErieure des Mines de Paris (1995).
