ZiadMakkawi has over 25 years experience in financial services. Prior to co-founding Blue Gate Capital Partners, Ziad was the Founding Shareholder, Chairman and CEO of Algebra Capital, an asset management and advisory firm based in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), which he successfully sold to Franklin Templeton Investments. Prior to Algebra Capital, Ziad was CEO of Dubai Bank, and Executive Management Director of SHUAA Capital, a UAE based Investment Banking Institution he built from start-up. Ziad has held leadership positions at JP Morgan in New York (1986) and Elf Aquitaine in Geneva (1990). He co-founded Lebanon Invest (1994) subsequently bought by Bank Audi. Ziad holds a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University, an MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Management and a BA from Rice University. He is a member of the YPO-WPO since 2004.
