Camilla Hall has been Gulf Correspondent at the Financial Times since July 2011. She is based in Abu Dhabi and has travelled widely in the region, including Saudi Arabia, Syria and Egypt.
Camilla joined the Financial Times last year from Bloomberg News in Dubai where she covered Gulf capital markets and regional economics. She moved to the United Arab Emirates in early 2009 from London where she reported on Middle East political news for Bloomberg. Camilla has written extensively on the Gulf including the Dubai debt crisis, sovereign wealth fund trends, and the political developments in the UAE and Kuwait. She graduated from Edinburgh University with a degree in Arabic and Spanish.
